Thomas Ming-Hui Stanka, born in 1995 in Darmstadt, Germany, is a Berlin based experimental photographer. Thomas is studying philosophy and art history at FU Berlin.
„Diving into analog photography as an autodidact is a balance between learning the craft and trying not to get submerged by the overglorification of the analog.“ Picking up film photography in spring 2015, he soon started experimenting outside the traditional frame work of film photography. The combination of pratical and academic work nurtures the development of theoretical based experimental photography. Sources of insperation are Hans Bellmer, Gottfried Jäger, Vilem Flusser, Annegret Soltau and Amin El Dib.
